We are currently offering a combined governing document review and trustee training package to support Scottish charities.

This offer includes a review of the charity’s governing document alongside a bespoke training session, designed to give boards clear, tailored guidance on their legal duties and governance responsibilities.

What’s included:

  • A governance check-in video call (approx. 1 hour) with senior staff/trustees
  • A review of the charity’s constitution with written feedback
  • A 90-minute live training session (online or in-person) for the full board and senior staff (if applicable), tailored to the charity’s legal form, structure, and activities

This is a charity specialist lawyer-led, interactive session, built specifically for Scottish charities which will reflect recent developments in Scottish charity law and good governance practice.

It’s especially useful for boards that:

  • Haven’t had training in some time
  • Have new trustees or are navigating change
  • Want to ensure they’re meeting The Scottish Charity Regulator’s expectations and understand their duties in practice

For training sessions we have currently have limited availability in August, October, and November. July, September, and December are now fully booked.

The combined package is currently available at a reduced fixed price of £800 + VAT* for instructions received before 31 July 2025, with training delivered by the end of 2025.
*Additional Travel costs may apply for in-person training sessions, depending on distance.

If this sounds helpful for your board, Sarah Brown would be happy to talk it through. Likewise, if your board needs something slightly different, Sarah can discuss adapting the approach or deliver specific components of the package with you.

As with all our services, this package is subject to a straightforward client onboarding process and a signed letter of engagement.
