Earlier this year we announced our series of Governance to Growth Afternoons, bringing practical governance insights and expert discussion to charities across Scotland, in partnership with TrusteeConnect and Rathbones Investment Management for Charities.

If you have not yet attended or booked a place, there are now just two events remaining this year, taking place in Pitlochry & Perth.

Whether you are a trustee, chief executive, senior manager, volunteer leader or charity adviser, these events will provide practical insights and an opportunity to connect with others from across the sector.

Remaining date and location are as follows:

        Pitlochry – Thursday 24th September 2026

Perth Art Gallery- Thursday 29 October 2026

        Time: 2.00pm to 4.30pm

Over the course of each afternoon, we will explore:

  • Governance in 2026: what has changed and what remains fundamental
  • Why invest as a charity
  • Trustee recruitment and building an effective board

Followed by an interactive panel discussion with opportunities to ask questions and share experiences with:

  • Alistair Cameron, Development Officer, Third Sector Perth & Kinross (Pitlochry only)
  • Elaine Alsop, Chartered Accountant and co-author of The Charity Treasurer’s Handbook
  • Ricki McLaughlin, charity risk management specialist and founder of Caerna
  • Tracy Bork, charity HR specialist and founder of Platinum Blue HR (Perth only)
